Call for Abstract and Participation: Ph.D. Forum

The Eighth ACM/IEEE International Conference on Distributed Smart Cameras (ICDSC 2014) draws upon many disciplines including smart camera design and network architectures, visual sensor networks, distributed computer vision and fusion, and emerging applications and case studies. In addition to full-length technical papers, ICDSC is organizing a Ph.D. Forum held in the form of a poster session preceded by a short oral presentation of the work (3 slides).

Ph.D. students can present and discuss their work with researchers in the field and receive valuable feedback, while conference participants can learn about interesting academic work in progress.

Participation in the forum is competitive and selection will be made based on a submitted extended abstract. All submitted abstracts will undergo a review process. Decisions will be made based on technical merit and innovation as well as their potential to stimulate interesting discussions and exchange of ideas at the conference. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and catalogued at IEEEXplore.

Submission Instructions for Abstracts:

Interested students are encouraged to submit a two-page extended abstract in PDF format that follows the ICDSC regular-paper formatting guidelines through Microsoft CMT. Please refer to the ICDSC regular-paper submission instructions for details.

Important Dates

Abstract submission deadline: August 30, 2014

For questions and clarifications, please contact the Ph.D. forum chair: Christophe Bobda, University of Arkansas, USA
