Study of new tools and techniques of Human Augmentation for Industrial Assistance

The project entitled "Study of new tools and techniques of Human Augmentation for Industrial Assistance" was born in collaboration with Spin srl, a consulting and systems design automation company, specializing in machinery and production lines.
The main goal of the research project is to create a tool to support the technicians during installation, configuration and maintenance of industrial plants. The device must be able to provide an audio – video link with technical experts located in remote offices or service centers and must support the creation and exploitation of the technical documentation (both audio and video content), installation and testing procedures and so on.
The main challenges of the project are the full ergonomics of the system, which will be carried out thanks to the use of wearable devices; the use of sensors and vision for the indoor localization and augmented reality for the fruition of the documentation and for the creation of interactive remote assistance sessions.
